This stainless-steel structure, a jib crane and platform, was designed by IMI’s Engineering department and fabricated in-house by our Stainless-Steel Fabrication shop. The design of the platform was incorporated into our Client’s 3D model of this area at their facility. By using these 3D modeling techniques, we are able to ensure the perfect fit and proper installation.
For the fabrication portion of the project, our dedicated Stainless-Steel shop had to adhere to our Pharmaceutical Client’s standards. The installation of the structure was a bit tricky as well. The area where this structure was installed is a controlled air environment, meaning the area is used for scientific research requiring limited levels of particulates. It wasn’t plausible to use a forklift, due to the tight fit of the area and clean room standards, so instead our Mechanical crew had to use a duct jack to lift the new jib crane into position.
Do you have a project that needs more than one discipline to perform? Look no further than IMI. We can plan it, design in, build it, and install it.
