Michelle Ingram was recently promoted to Shop Project Manager at IMI Industrial Services Group.
Michelle’s career began by working part time through high school in the family business of industrial contracting. She joined the company full-time after earning her Bachelor of Business Management degree from the University of Georgia in 1997. In an effort to learn all aspects of the business, she completed a year apprenticeship in the field. In 2006, she moved to New Mexico where she worked as an Executive Assistant for a construction company building multi-million-dollar dairies. After returning to Athens in 2013, she returned to her industrial contracting roots and began her career with IMI.
Michelle initially worked issuing subcontracts and purchase orders. Then, as projects demanded, she functioned as a Project Control Manager for large projects and was promoted to company Quality Manager. Michelle continued functioning in this role until 2018 when she began her role as an Assistant Shop Project Manager. Michelle has developed and grown customer relationships while ensuring their projects were completed and delivered on-time, within budget and per scope.
Michelle has completed the OSHA 30 – Construction Training, attended SMACNA Business Management University, obtained her PMI Certified Assistant Project Manager certification, and completed the US Army Corps of Engineers “Construction Quality Management for Contractors” course.
Michelle’s combined education, hands-on work experience, organizational skills, and attention to detail has proved her to be a valuable asset to IMI and her promotion to Project Manager has been well earned.
