IMI Industrial Services Group took an idea from concept to completion by utilizing our portfolio of in-house professional services. For this project our groups engineered, fabricated and tested a complete mechanical lifting beam, utilized for installing and removing stoplogs at power generating hydro facilities. This device will eliminate the need for divers during the process of removing or installing stoplogs, making that operation safer and more cost effective. Since this beam is completely mechanical there is no need for pneumatics or electricity to make this component function, which means it can be utilized in remote locations.
