IMI Industrial Services Group recently removed an older downcomer at a facility in Commerce, Georgia, and replaced it with an new IMI-fabricated downcomer.
We started by cutting out the older downcomer, which is a large pipe at the top of a boiler or furnace, and lifting it to the ground with our experienced crane operators and riggers. We then lifted the newly fabricated part onto the existing structure and our welders welded it in place.
IMI can engineer and fabricate replacement parts for any industrial facility; there’s no project too large or too small. We can then install those parts with our rigging and millwright/maintenance capabilities.
